Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Some of the biggest regrets we have come from things we have done that seemed right at the time. Yet in hindsight we can see how wrongheaded we were and how much damage we did to ourselves and others. These are what the Bible calls sins committed in ignorance, or unintentional sins. These are sins we did not set out to commit, and maybe at the time we didn’t know any better. But they are sins nonetheless and our regret over these sins can be huge. The great news is that Jesus carried his own blood into the Most Holy Place in the heavens and presented it to his Father as an atoning sacrifice for all of the sins we committed in ignorance. He promises to deep clean our consciences and lift our guilt. We can get clean on the outside with a hot shower, but only the blood Jesus can scrub us clean on the inside.
