We talk to Nader Foroughi, CTO of the Americas for Technetix about Neuron X, their new automation and AI platform, which aims to substantially reduce the complexity of access networks from a deployment, upgrade and on-going maintenance perspective. Technetix say this will result in substantial operational expense savings, along with increased reliability and stability of the access network, galvanizing enhanced customer experience.
Since HFC networks are living and breathing systems, deep knowledge and expertise in tuning every active component is required. They also need to be maintained and aligned with almost any plant change. This can include split changes, carrier expansions and adding or removing elements from the field. Not only can this be operationally and labor intensive, it demands a true end-to-end viewpoint of the performance of the network: from the distributed-access-architecture (DAA) node all the way to the cable modem.
With intelligent components embedded in Technetix nodes and amplifiers, Neuron X presents a revolutionary approach to access network upgrades and maintenance. By using the power of machine learning and artificial intelligence, Neuron X will align and maintain the access network to ensure stability, reliability and performance runs at the highest possible level. This not only enhances customer experience; it significantly reduces unwanted operational costs, both short and long term.
But that's just the start. Nader has a lot more to say on the subject. Join Nader and Tony in a lively discussion about what's possible!
