  • SDP078 – Silicodisco – Agosto 2020

Silicodisco!

  • SDP077 – Nieder – Julio 2020
We met Luisje aka Nieder at Macarena Club. This Asturian, but settled in Barcelona, quickly attracted the clubbers attention. His sets at RoomFM are synonymous with subtlety and toughness, easy to feel in this exclusive set recorder for our podcast.
Being a new producer, he published his first EP in 2017 on the Scottish label BtechNoir. A really surprising album that reaches heavyweight artists ears like Richie Hawtin or Paco Osuna.

  • SDP076 – Nerdiboy – Junio 2020
Under the statement of ‘Music, No Rules’, Nerdiboy has developed a really interesting sound that gets everyone attention either on the dancefloor (fire) or at home. His releases on Nerang Records, End Of Dayz, Yellow Island Records or Flumo are a proof of his know-how.
Leaving aside all the digital technology, Nerdiboy is one of those who still carries his bag full of records, and our episode 76 comes directly from that collection. There wasn’t a better way to hug June and it’s warm temperatures than with these almost 2 hours of pure House, Acid and Detroit’s Electro.

  • SDP075 – Charlie Levan – Mayo 2020
Our next guest arrives from Lille. We have been seeing Charlie playing nicely for a long time in various venues in Barcelona, but he is a regular at booths like Chalet, Kater Blau, Ritter Butkze, HBC and the legendary Tacheles squat in Berlin.
We were already lucky enough to enjoy his savoir faire the VVAACCIIDD night in Macarena Club as 50% of Mystic Future (MFM).
His unique style in the selection with a clear Chicago influence and his fast mixing technique are confirmed in this podcast, number 75 in our repertoire. Acid and 707 in this session of slow rhythm but high intensity and progressive aggressiveness in its almost 2 hours of duration.

  • SDP074 – Francesco TA – Abril 2020
Francesco TA Music!

  • SDP073 – Ocean Lam – Marzo 2020
We’re happy to be collaborating with one of the main leaders of Hong Kong’s growing electronic music scene and a long-standing female maverick in the overall Asian scene as a guest mix for our March podcast. We’re talking about Ocean Lam.
Continuously spiraling and building upwards, playful and bouncing but no less severe or moody, Ocean Lam’s sound is atmospheric, shifting moods and energies whichever way she sees fit.
She holds residences at Hong Kong’s top underground clubs, oma and Social Room, while serving as Social Room’s Music Director. She tirelessly works and collaborates regularly with local DJs and crews, as well as exposing the local audience to regional and international underground artists.
The uncontested regional opener for heavyweight names like Sven Väth, Jimpster, Efdemin, Axel Boman, Luke Hess, Nick Höppner, Oliver Deutschmann and many more; Ocean has had headlining slots at Hong Kong’s seminal arts and music festival, Clockenflap, for several years; she has curated and played a stage at Sónar Hong Kong and ALTN8 Festival and has played at major festivals in the region such as Wonderfruit in Thailand, Epizode in Vietnam, and INTRO in Mongolia. For the most recent feather in her cap, in late 2019, she was tapped to represent Hong Kong at its first live edition of Boiler Room at Shi Fu Miz.
With her irrefutable extensive track record, it is no wonder that Ocean Lam has had a growing number of gigs outside of Asia, including annual European tours that include Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, and has contributed to a countless podcast and live stream DJing sessions across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Enjoy now this set recently recorded at Social Room.

  • SDP072 – Nico – Febrero 2020

  • SDP069 – Djohnston – Noviembre 2019
Pere Martí is an essential figure in Barcelona’s club scene. Pere, Becool’s resident DJ and booker for 7 years and now at MIRA Festival and Razzmatazz, combines his musical knowledge with unique creativity to generate new proposals; examples of such are events like Look Back Nights, Journeys, Less Than Disco or Gauss.
DJohnston, Pere’s nickname as a tribute to the recently deceased songwriter Daniel Johnston, began mixing indie and electro tunes at Underhits’ parties back in 2005. During his time in Becool, he expanded his musical range by easily adapting to each guest artist. His DJ skills have allowed him to perform at some of the best clubs in Europe such as Sub Club, FUSE or Rex Club.
It’s such a privilege for us to add to our podcast catalog one of his last sessions recorded live at The Loft, warming up the dancefloor with his own special touch for Roman Flügel.
    Ladies & gentlemen… DJOHNSTON!
