It doesn't get any more Jackrabbit Football than Ryan McKnight.
An All-America center his senior year of 2010, McKnight was part of the first SDSU football team to reach the FCS playoffs in 2009, laying a foundation for the Jacks to rise to national prominence.
Now the president of the Jackrabbit Former Players Association (JFPA), McKnight was a teammate former head coach Jimmy Rogers and is a long-time friend of both Rogers and Rogers' replacement, Dan Jackson. All played under the legend John Stiegelmeier.
McKnight describes his relationships and tells stories about all of them, plus offers personal insight into Rogers leaving SDSU and taking his staff and over 20 Jacks with him to Washington State — followed by the hiring of Jackson and the yeoman recruiting efforts of the new coaches and players who stayed at SDSU. The JFPA also played a hefty part, with McKnight — like he was as a player — at the center of it all.
Enjoy stories about being in the trenches under two legendary coaches at Sioux Falls Washington high school, Kim Nelson and Brian Hermanson, plus memories of scaring the daylights of both the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
For over an hour, you'll feel what Jackrabbit Football means to not just McKnight, but the totality of hundreds of former and current players he calls "the brotherhood."
