Yogi Berra hung up his cleats in 1964 and took over for Ralph Houk at the helm of the New York Yankees but not without great scrutiny from the unforgiving New York media. When things looked their worst for the Bronx Bombers a strange altercation between a rookie manager and a young infielder seemed to galvanize the clubhouse. However from the outside looking in, it appeared as though Yogi had lost all control; and it may not have happened at all if not for one shit disturbing superstar.
