Sean is considered a top tier collaborator in the Nashville Country and Americana music scenes, and well beyond for that matter. His latest album, A Horrible Beautiful Dream, features thirteen songs marked by emotional depth, world-weary tones, and a tongue-in-cheek quality that most songwriters can only attempt to find, while McConnell has proven that he has it down pat. We had a great chat about his new album, how his life has changed since adopting his daughter Abi, who lives with cerebral palsy, as well as what it’s like to maintain an authentic voice when writing songs for other artists.
