  • The End is the Beginning Pt. 2 | Enoch's Endless Millennium and the Last Day

    #enoch #lastdays #revelation #apocalypse #bible

The "thousand years" concept in Rev. 20 hearkens back to writings ascribed to Enoch. The Messianic "thousand years" is not meant to describe a limited penultimate time period before the end, but an infinite, ultimate period transcending time -- the Last Day. And this is a good thing! "As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be -- WORLD WITHOUT END, AMEN!"
1:49 correction: I said Ephrem the Syrian but should have said Cyril of Jerusalem!

Christ is risen! But He did not rise alone...

+Scripture Reading: Matthew 28:1-10 | After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, `He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.' This is my message for you." So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

  • Palm Sunday | Sean McMahon

    #PalmSunday #Sermon #Christian #Jesus #MarthasVineyard

Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday as a Priest-King to sacrifice at the altar of the cross!

+Scripture Reading: John 12:12-16 The next day the great crowd that had come to the [Passover] festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord— the King of Israel!” Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it; as it is written: “Do not be afraid, daughter of Zion. Look, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!” His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written of him and had been done to him.
