We started off with a short discussion on Google’s click fraud numbers. We then talked about the NOYDIR tag, followed up with discussion on index updates from Yahoo!, Ask.com, and Google. We also discussed legal issues in search, Microsofts adCenter bug and much more.

To kick off the show we had some discussion on our new design here at the Search Engine Roundtable. We then got into the Google Presidents Day update, followed by a Google patent application discussion. Microsoft had a large adCenter bug, and Yahoo! Search Marketing also had a PPC bug. We discussed the Google AdWords algorithm

We started off with how the search industry celebrated Valentines day, including Google, Yahoo!, Ask.com and even DogPile. We then talked about Google AdWords and how they are releasing a new quality score algorithm soon. After that we dug into tons of different SEO topics.

We discuss Rand Fishkins proposal on TV. We also talked a bit about the Google Sitelinks update, a Phrase ReRank algorithm, StumbleUpon and AdSense. We talked about techniques to use when re-launching a web site. Plus many more fun topics with Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft Live Search and some SEO tips.

Vanessa Fox of the Google Webmaster Central team, to discuss the new Google link tool available within the Sitemaps tool. In addition, we talked about Google Personalized search and what SEOs should know. We discussed the Panama rankings score release, PageRank and SEO, Site Explorer features, Google local results and signals of poor SEO sites. We talked about how Google solved some of their Googlebombs issues. We also talked about the Yahoo Title issue that is now resolved. Yahoo! Search Marketings Panama is coming this Monday. In this edition we discussed the recent discussion around the Wikipedia community adding back the nofollow attribute to all external links, and if Google treats Wikipedia too well in the search results. We also discussed the bug with Google’s site command search. There was a Yahoo! Search update we talked about, and also the bug with Yahoo! displayed anchor text as titles in the search results. Plus many more fun topics with Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft Live Search and some SEO tips.

This week, we talked about the holiday season and the new year. We argued about a possible Google update. We also debated on the blog tip Google is offering. We looked at social links and gave some tips with that. Overall, we had some pretty good discussions that may be of use to you in the 2007 year.

This week, we had on Eric Ward to discuss one of the most discussed topics of the week, a Google blog post on link building. We also talked about duplicate content, CSS to hide content, AdSense no longer allowing images near ads, the Yahoo Directory Tag, Panama information and much more. Also, Chris Boggs had a nice rendition of the Hello Panama Song.
