  • Will Islam & Catholicism Unite Toward a Global Religion?
This past June, Catholic Archbishop Edward Weisenburger of Detroit attended the grand opening of a mosque and the new headquarters of the Islamic Institute of America. Not only did he praise the building, but he also said that Muslims and Catholics worship the same God. He said he felt a "divine presence" as soon as he arrived at the mosque. He also offered a prayer that this Islamic Center will bring all of humanity "into a deeper communion with our one god." He said "We are members of the same human family. All churches, all mosques, all synagogues, all places where God reaches out and touches with his finger are sacred." Also this past June in Milan, Italy, a Catholic parish set aside space for young Muslims to engage in Islamic prayers during their summer program. One priest defended this by saying that Christians and Muslims "pray to the same God. A priest there said, "I imagine the prayer could conclude with the Islamic formula Bismillah, which invokes the name of God, the compassionate and merciful." He said, "It is always better to help young people to pray: we pray to the same God, certainly within different religious traditions. And recognizing the other's identity is in the spirit of the Gospel." It's been reported that a Muslim prayer room has been set up in the heart of the Vatican City's 500-year-old library. Islamic scholars visiting the Vatican Apostolic Library had requested a room with "a carpet to pray on" and staff heeded their request. Join us as we discuss the question, "Will Islam & Catholicism Unite Toward a Global Religion?" Our guest is Mike Gendron of ProclaimingtheGospel.org.

  • The Part of the Bible Everyone Wants to Delete: What Does the Bible Say About That?
Does the New Testament change or correct the Old? Does it present a loving God rather than the Old Testament's angry one? Or is the Old Testament of equal authority with the New Testament – in which case, are its laws still perfect and lovely, and necessary for Christian living? Kevin Swanson and Joshua Schwisow investigate how Jesus and the apostles treated the authority of the Old Testament. They discuss: - The God-breathed and completely sufficient nature of the Old Testament (2 Timothy 3:16–17) - How the gospel was preached beforehand to Abraham (Gal 3:8; Gen 12:3) - The authority of the Old Testament in the New Testament on matters prophetic, Christological, ethical, historical, doctrinal, typological, ecclesiological, and eschatological - The New Testament use of the Old Testament law for guiding how Christians should live, along with the moral example of figures like Joseph and David - Antinomians in the church who use the Old Testament exclusively for "redemptive themes" rather than moral imperatives Got a topic you want us to cover? • The Call to Personal Evangelism
This sermon outlines ten compelling reasons for every believer to engage in personal evangelism, grounding the call in the Great Commission passages found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts. It emphasizes that evangelism is not merely a corporate duty of the church but an individual responsibility that flows from a genuine love for God and obedience to His commands. The message argues that sharing the gospel is an act of compassion and a fulfillment of the royal law, distinguishing it from mere religious duty by highlighting the constraining love of Christ as the primary motivator. It further teaches that evangelism provides spiritual stability and protection for the believer, serving as a key component of the armor of God. Finally, the sermon urges the audience to view soul-winning as a wise pursuit and a debt owed to the lost, reminding them that their eternal reward and the salvation of others depend on their faithful witness.

  • NOTHING’S MORE IMPORTANT THAN JESUS
NOTHING'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN JESUS. When Jesus Has First Place, Everything Else Finds Its Proper Place Colossians 1:15–18 KJV Life constantly competes for our attention through work, possessions, schedules, entertainment, relationships, worries, and ambitions. Yet Paul declares that Jesus Christ is to have "the preeminence." I want to challenge every believer to examine whether Christ merely has a place in their lives or truly has first place. The message develops three truths: I. Nothing Is More Important Than Knowing Jesus II. Nothing Is More Important Than Putting Jesus First III. When Jesus Becomes Most Important, Everything Else Finds Its Proper Place "If Jesus is the most important Person in my life, does the way I live prove it?" A gospel-centered message calling the lost to Christ and believers back to a life where Jesus has first place in all things. And I think Colossians 1:18 is exactly the right anchor: "that in all things he might have the preeminence.
