  • Living By Faith - Rev. Marcus Lecky
The sermon centers on the transformative truth that the righteous live by faith, a principle rooted in Hebrews 10:38 and exemplified through the Reformation legacy of Martin Luther. It emphasizes that genuine faith is not merely an initial act of salvation but a daily, all-encompassing reliance on God's unchanging Word, especially in trials and uncertainty. The message underscores that faith is inseparable from truth—grounded in Scripture, not emotion or experience—and is demonstrated through obedience, trust, and consistent dependence on God in every aspect of life, from the mundane to the monumental. Through biblical examples like Abraham, Daniel, and the Moffats, the sermon illustrates how faith honors God and invites His faithfulness, calling believers to live by faith in both prosperity and adversity. Ultimately, it calls the church to a life of sustained, practical trust in God's sovereignty, where every moment—marked by prayer, work, and daily decisions—is lived in reliance on His promises.

  • Ephesians 5:25-31 - God's Glory in Man
In this second message in our series on Biblical Sexuality, we examine the husband's calling from Ephesians 5:25-31: "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her." The Apostle Paul does not begin with sentiment or negotiation. He issues a clear command rooted in creation and redemption. The husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 5:23). This order is not cultural but creational—Adam was formed first, then Eve—and it forms a living parable of the gospel. The husband pictures Christ the Head; the wife pictures the church in glad submission. True headship is sacrificial, decisive leadership. Husbands are called to nourish and cherish their wives as their own bodies, speak the Word into the home, set the spiritual direction, cover sin, protect from danger, and present their wives holy and blameless. We explore biblical examples of faithful headship (Job, Hosea, Martin Luther) and the tragic consequences when it is abandoned (Aaron, Dinah, David). We also address our common failures as men and women and point to the hope of the gospel: Christ loved His bride while we were still rebels. Men are called to lead even when met with resistance. Women are called to repent of rebellion and flourish under godly covering. This message is a call for men to embrace their glory as heads and protectors, and for women to embrace their glory in submission—rejecting the egalitarian spirit of our age and returning to God's good design for the home and the church.

  • Ephesians 5:22-24 - God's Glory in Woman
In this bold and timely sermon, we examine God's creational design for marriage, authority, and the radiant glory of biblical womanhood. "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church…" (Ephesians 5:22-23) Returning to Genesis 1–3, we see that headship was not a result of the Fall, but part of God's original, good creation. Adam was formed first, then Eve — taken from his side to be his crown, helper, and companion. Through the lives of Sarah, Abigail, Deborah, and Catherine von Bora (wife of Martin Luther), we witness the power and beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that strengthens men rather than competing with or despising them. This sermon directly confronts the spirit of our rebellious age that hates submission and calls women to autonomy. True feminine glory is found not in seizing headship, but in glad, intelligent, worshipful submission — even to imperfect husbands — as unto the Lord. Such a wife adorns the Gospel and displays the mystery of Christ and His Church.
