Our Pastor declares that belief in the incarnation (enfleshment) of God is evidence that one is of God and knows God. Disbelief demonstrates that one is not born of God. God's incarnation is evidence of God's love for us. When believers love one another it is evident that God's Spirit is in them. He concludes by urging us to practice loving our families during our celebration of Love's birth.

Dr. Lee Atkinson's introduction is poignant, poetic and powerful. Angels have a long history, indeed, a history in eternity past. Angels know that the One Who became a baby made each of us on purpose. Angels know that Jesus is amazing, and His condescension is incomprehensible. They desire to appreciate or understand Jesus but realize that they can't.

Our Pastor Emeritus notes that the distance between Jerusalem and Bethlehem was so short that - even in New Testament days - people walked it five or six days a week. What caused the chief priests and the scribes (who had the right facts!) ... and Herod ... to miss Christmas even while they were sitting right on top of it? We need to understand the heart conditions that preclude Christmas.
