This morning we'll conclude our "Are You Ready?" series by looking at one of the most hope-filled passages in all of Scripture, Revelation 21:1-6. In this final message, we'll explore God's promise of a new heaven and a new earth, where pain, death, sorrow, and brokenness are gone forever and His people dwell with Him eternally. As we study these verses together, we'll be reminded that this world is not our final home. God is preparing something far greater for those who belong to Him. The promise of eternity with Christ gives believers hope, purpose, and assurance no matter what we face today. Join us as we celebrate the future awaiting every follower of Jesus and discover the beauty of God making all things new.

These two verses have had a tremendous impact on the last 500+ years of western Christianity. How we understand the righteousness of God that is revealed in the gospel makes all the difference in the world. And faith is the central concept, just as faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness, before he ever did anything other than believe God.

The sermon affirms the Bible as the infallible, preserved, and authoritative Word of God, grounded in divine inspiration and the Holy Spirit's guidance, with Scripture itself serving as the ultimate standard for truth, faith, and practice. It emphasizes that the Bible is not a human document subject to private interpretation but a divine revelation, confirmed by Christ's own testimony, the apostolic witness, and the internal consistency of its message, which cannot be broken or altered without divine consequence. The sermon defends the King James Version as the preserved Word of God in English, highlighting its historical fidelity, doctrinal integrity, and superiority over modern translations that omit key verses or rely on disputed textual sources. It calls believers to be like the Bereans—testing all things against Scripture, rejecting tradition or personal preference when they contradict the Bible, and holding fast to the Word as the lamp to the path and the foundation of salvation. Ultimately, the sermon urges a reverent, disciplined, and personal engagement with Scripture, rooted in the conviction that God's Word is pure, powerful, and eternal, and that faith, repentance, and eternal life are inseparable from its truth.
