Title: Walking Close to Christ: Q&A Speaker: Dr. Joel Beeke, Pastor Jeremy Visser, and Pastor Jeff Johnson Series: Q&A Date: February 26, 2026

The sermon centers on the profound privilege of Christian prayer, grounded in the access granted through Christ's blood to the holiest place, where the triune God—Father, Son, and Spirit—welcomes believers with intimate, childlike boldness. It emphasizes that true prayer is not a performance but a dependent, personal communion with God, marked by humility, longing, and the Spirit's inner work, which stirs holy desires and aligns hearts with divine will. Prayer is portrayed as spiritual warfare and global fellowship, a frontline engagement that advances God's kingdom, unites believers across nations and ages, and deepens faith through perseverance and divine delay. The ultimate answer to prayer is not merely material provision, but the gift of God Himself—more love for Christ, hatred of sin, joy, holiness, and longing for heaven—wherein all things are found. Thus, prayer is both a personal breath of the soul and a powerful, unified act of worship and resistance that draws believers into the eternal communion of saints.
