This sermon explores Exodus chapter 5, using Pharaoh's defiance as a typological picture of Satan's resistance to God's deliverance. The preacher contrasts the crushing burdens of sin and worldly authority with the rest and freedom found in Jesus Christ. Key themes include the necessity of sacrifice for communion with God, the reality of increased spiritual conflict upon obedience, and the assurance that God's promises prevail despite immediate suffering. The message encourages believers to trust in Christ's finished work rather than their own efforts, affirming that God alone holds the final word over bondage and despair.

The sermon emphasizes that God uses ordinary individuals and their small offerings to accomplish extraordinary spiritual results, as illustrated by the feeding of the five thousand. It challenges listeners to move beyond focusing on their limitations and instead offer their available resources with responsibility and readiness. The message highlights that true faith involves trusting God's provision even in difficult circumstances, rather than relying on personal ability or wealth. By yielding daily duties and small gifts to Him, believers participate in His work of feeding multitudes with the gospel. Ultimately, the preacher encourages immediate surrender of one's life to God, promising that such devotion leads to eternal reward and divine multiplication.
