  • History of Christian Zionism (Zionism #3)
This sermon traces the historical development of Christian Zionism by analyzing various theological interpretations of God's promises to Abraham. The speaker categorizes these views into literalist, non-literalist, and partial literalist frameworks, contrasting them with historic premillennialism, dispensationalism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism. A key argument highlights how the rise of dispensationalism in the late nineteenth century shifted the focus from a mass conversion of Jews to political support for the modern state of Israel. The transcript emphasizes that contemporary Christian Zionism diverges significantly from earlier church traditions by separating national restoration from spiritual redemption. Ultimately, the message urges humility and caution regarding complex eschatological debates while maintaining a commitment to the gospel.

  • 2026-06-07 The Power of Place
The Power of Place Faith Debate: Sunday, June 7th, 2026 (06/14/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) Jon Harris is an author ("Social Justice Goes to Church", "Against the Waves", etc.) and documentary producer (Last Stand Studios) on issues of evangelicalism, Americana, and culture wars. He's a columnist active on Substack & TruthScripit (which he co-founded), as well as a singer/songwriter. He's best known as host of "Conversations That Matter", first gaining notoriety for exposing the Social Justice Leftism infecting the Southern Baptist Convention & its seminaries (with clarity in defending the biblical gospel). Dina Carole has been a media fixture for decades. Listeners might recognize her from her decades-long career in radio & TV up and down the eastern US (from New York to Florida), including her long tenure as "The Voice of Frederick" (having been a fixture on Maryland radio for years). This panel has been assembled for a discussion on the very real importance of physical "place". When Troy and Dina moved to a new house, they left behind their home of a quarter century. The move was tough because to Troy the residence represented stability, security, and emotional safety. For Dina the impact of the move hit her differently, as she tends to look at people moving through different seasons of life. Therefore, she doesn't cling to things as a general rule. But some might wonder if this is a defense mechanism as they see her more easily moving on. The panel: Troy Skinner. Founder, Household of Faith in Christ Dina Carole. Who Were the Leaders of the "Restoration Movement"? 1. Thomas Campbell: "Thomas Campbell's famous Declaration and Address stated in no uncertain terms the principles upon which such restoration should rest." The Spiritual Sword, July, '73, p. 15. 2. Alexander Campbell: "Alexander Campbell, son of Thomas, became even more prolific in speaking of 'the laws of the kingdom,' as seen in Christianity Restored and the Millennial Harbinger." The Spiritual Sword, July, '73, p. 15. 3. Barton W. Stone: "The men making the plea — among them ...Barton W. Stone, a Presbyterian." The Spiritual Sword, July, '70, p. 42 4. Walter Scott: "Pioneer preachers as ...Walter Scott." The Spiritual Sword, July, '73, p. 6 These are the four primary "founding fathers" of the Restoration movement, none of whom ever obeyed the "ancient gospel" which was supposedly restored on November 18, 1827 when Walter Scott baptized William Amend (see Life of Elder Walter Scott by William Baxter, p. 108). Significant Dates and Events in the "Restoration Movement" as Revealed In Restoration Writings: 1812 - June 12: The Campbells and the Hanens (seven persons in all) are immersed by Matthias Luce, a Baptist preacher, in Buffalo Creek. This was nearly 15 years before the practice of "baptism in order to obtain the remission of sins" was supposedly "restored" by Walter Scott, Nov. 18, 1827. (Ibid., Vol. 1, pp. 396-398; Vol. 2, p. 212). 1816 - A. Campbell preaches heresies on the Law at Redstone Association. (Ibid., Vol. 1, p. 471). 1820 - Alexander Campbell debates with John Walker, Presbyterian, and defends Baptist name, doctrine and history. (see Campbell-Walker Debate). 1823 - August: A. Campbell learns that t

Is AI Holy? Faith Debate: Sunday, May 31st, 2026 (06/07/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) The history of early Fundamentalist history might be a warning against Christians avoiding the use of "Artificial Intelligence", so as to avoid repeating the strategic errors of the years between WWI and WWII. 100 years ago significant sectors of conservative Christianity responded to cultural and intellectual shifts by withdrawing from academia, media, and institutions - which ceded enormous cultural influence for generations. How does the church preserve orthodoxy, without marginalizing the true faith, while still remaining involved in the formation of cultural institutions? This edition of The Faith Debate is part two of a two-part discussion, as the show continues to peel back the layers of concern (and the layers of potential) with regard to the use of new technological tools. Find episodes of The Faith Debate at WFMD.com, ChristianPodcastCommunity.org, and most podcast platforms (including SermonAudio and Odysee). Videos are made available at many of these same places (as well as on Rumble). Find links for all of these platforms at www.householdoffaithinchrist.com. The panel: Troy Skinner. • Contemporary Christian Music - a Subsidiary of Secular Pop Culture?
The $2 billion CCM industry is now 80% owned by a single secular company. But why do secularists want to own Christian music production…and why are Christians allowing it? Kevin and Bill discuss the power of media to capture hearts…ask what they will be captured to if the media itself is captured by secularists…and debate how much we should fight within a corrupt system, versus abandon it to create something new.
