This summary is for Jeff Pollard's booklet on the same topic: The Church is being destroyed by sacred cows. A 'sacred cow' is an untouchable subject that we are not supposed to discuss. To do so impinges upon another's 'Christian liberty.' Certainly, there are few sacred cows quite as sacred as the right of modern Christians to dress however they please. But in this groundbreaking work, Jeff Pollard challenges us to embrace God's standard and to understand the historical roots of the rise of nudity and immodesty in modern culture. His perspective is thoughtful and balanced. Most importantly, he accomplishes what few authors on this subject have achieved: a treatise that avoids both license and legalism. A courageous booklet. *************************************** For a huge online selection of free & discounted Reformation resources (Calvinism & Calvinistic works, Puritanism, Reformed Baptist, Presbyterian, Covenanter, Christian history, etc.), books, MP3s, CDs, DVDs, debates, articles, etc., please visit the links below at swrb.com. + Rare Reformation Bibles: KJV, Geneva, English Hexapla, etc. http://www.swrb.com/bibles/bibles.htm + A-Z Author Listing http://www.swrb.com/pcopy/photoc.htm + Reformation CDs http://www.swrb.com/Puritan/reformation-bookshelf-CDs.htm Or visit SWRB's home page at the 'Outside Web Link' below. ************************************ Visit www.mountzion.org for other Christ-centered literature and audio.

This comment refers to Jeff Pollard's booklet on the same topic: The author of these pages seeks to bring to the light of scripture and responsible factual research the practice of acceptable public nakedness as it relates to the bathing suit industry. Mr. Pollard is conscious that some will write off his concerns as an infringement on their Christian liberty, while others will judge him to be cowardly in not making more detailed and sweeping judgments. May God give to each reader that wonderful disposition attributed to the Bereans who 'received the Word with all readiness of mind, examining the scriptures daily, whether these things were so' (Acts 17:11).' - Al Martin Pastor, Trinity Baptist Church, Montville, NJ *************************************** For a huge online selection of free & discounted Reformation resources (Calvinism & Calvinistic works, Puritanism, Reformed Baptist, Presbyterian, Covenanter, Christian history, etc.), books, MP3s, CDs, DVDs, debates, articles, etc., please visit the links below at swrb.com. + Rare Reformation Bibles: KJV, Geneva, English Hexapla, etc. http://www.swrb.com/bibles/bibles.htm + A-Z Author Listing http://www.swrb.com/pcopy/photoc.htm + Reformation CDs http://www.swrb.com/Puritan/reformation-bookshelf-CDs.htm Or visit SWRB's home page at the 'Outside Web Link' below. ************************************ Visit www.mountzion.org for other Christ-centered literature and audio.
