Imagine that you were tasked with standing in judgment upon Jesus. You only had one day to decide what to do. What side of the Lord Jesus would you be on - "for" - or - "against?" In Luke 23, Pilate's day of decision had come. Sadly, he stood with those who opposed the Lord Jesus and condemned the King of King and Lord of Lords. Friend, you may stand alone - but do stand WITH Jesus and do not AGAINST Jesus. If Pilate never repented, Pilate is in Hell today. If we go to Hell, it will be for the same reason. Jesus was crucified for our sin and yet we did not judge correctly and BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST for our own salvation. The blood that Jesus shed, because of Pilate's sin and our own, has the power to cleanse our heart and make us fit for Heaven. If you aren't on Jesus side, you are as guilty as Pilate, as you stand with those who crucified the Lord of Glory. Pilate thought he could wash his hands of his guilt, but he could not. Neither can you. Until you get saved, the guilt of Jesus death is laid at your sinful feet. Why not let the same blood He shed, take your guilt away? Why not judge correctly upon the innocent lamb of God who died lovingly in your place?

Why would the disciples be so sure that Jesus as King was going to bring the Kingdom in? This isn't just a rhetorical question. We often speak of Jesus and forget just how amazing and how big the miracles that He did were. We look at the disciples and think they must have been so hard of heart to not understand all the times that He said "I'm going to die." Yet it wasn't just their hard hearts, it was that everyone was watching Jesus. Everyone thought that the King was coming. Join us as we see the King's entry into Jerusalem.

Samson lost his strength, his sight, and his freedom because of his own failure, but God was not finished with him. Even while he was blinded and pushing in the darkness, his hair began to grow again, reminding us that God can restore what the enemy thought was permanently destroyed. When Samson finally placed his hands upon the pillars, he was willing to give everything to see the enemy defeated one more time. This message challenges us to hold fast to truth, seek the anointing of God, and refuse to turn loose of what matters most.

God said thou mayest freely eat, so why is the freely gone when the woman repeats Him back to the serpent? She puts in a touching He never forbade, and she turns thou shalt surely die into lest ye die, so ask what she thought of that gift, to trim it down like that. Read verse two and verse three against the commandment the LORD God gave the man, and ask whether the attack fell on the man, on the woman, or on the Word of God. Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

"Looking unto Jesus" -- As we consider the amazing scenes of Jesus's life, the most important is that of the cross and resurrection. In our mini-series on the life of Jesus, I thought this Sunday would be an appropriate time to look at the scene of the cross because it's the same Sunday we are celebrating the Lord's Table. As Jesus died on the cross, He was "bearing our shame." This is the aspect we will delve into as we consider Christ condemned to make us free. He bore shame and reproach before man so that we might never bear shame or reproach before the Father.
