  • Great God of Comfort
Weekly Prayer: Sovereign Lord of heaven and earth, You are better and bigger than we can conceive. Truly, there's none like You. Show us Your splendor today. And, may that vision breathe vitality in our souls and bring comfort in our trials. For Your glory we ask this, Amen! Weekly Quote: "You and I don't need a quick fix. What we need is a clearer vision of God and a keener passion for His glory. What we need is to find rest in His faithfulness and energy in His desirability." – Ray Ortlund, Jr.

  • An Awful Premonition - Till They See The Son of Man Coming In His Kingdom
When the sinner dies it is not tasting of death in its true sense, for what does he lose? He loses wife, and children, and friends; he loses all his dainty bits and his sweet draughts. Where now his viol and his lute? Where now the merry dance and the joyful company? For him no more the pleasant landscape nor the gliding stream. For him no more the light of the sun by day, nor the light of moon and stars by night. He has lost at one stroke every comfort and every hope. But then the loss, as far as death is concerned, is but a loss of earthly things, the loss of temporal and temporary comforts, and he might put up with that. It is wretched enough to lose these, but let your imagination follow me, faint as is my power to describe the everlasting and infinite loss of the man who is found impenitent at the last great judgment day. What loses he then? The harps of heaven and the songs thereof; the joys of God's presence and the light thereof; the jasper sea and the gates of pearl. He has lost peace and immortality, and the crown of life; nay, he has lost all hope, and when a man has lost that, what remaineth to him? His spirit sinks with a terrible depression, more frightful than maniac ever knew in his wildest moods of grief. His soul sinks never to recover itself into the depths of dark despair, where not a ray of hope can ever reach him. Lost to God; lost to heaven; lost to time.

  • Operation London
As the prophet Jeremiah wrote, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" In other words, society isn't going to be transformed apart from the work of Jesus Christ. The guest on this edition of Crosstalk has a passion to help see that kind of transformation take place; a passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ and to love people enough to warn them that the path they're on, apart from Christ, is leading toward eternal damnation. That guest was Ray Comfort. Ray is the founder & CEO of Living Waters. He's a best-selling author who has written more than 100 books. He co-hosts the award-winning television program, Way of the Master, which airs in 190 countries. Many people around the world were saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth. News outlets around America followed the situation very closely. In fact, Jim reported that according to Euronews, her funeral was one of the most widely viewed TV events ever. Many even flew in from various parts of the world just to view a portion of the funeral procession or to pay last respects. There's another event coming up that has motivated Ray to start something called, "Operation London." This big initiative is based around the coronation for King Charles III. He's excited because he believes this event will be even bigger than the Queen's funeral. The date is May 6th and it will take place at Westminster Abbey. Ray's idea is to spring-board off the religious symbolism that's a big part of this event and reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This involves a tract with the picture of Charles on the front.
