This morning will bring us to the end of Chapter 15 of the apostle John's gospel as we examine verses 26-27. As we study John's gospel, we have walked with Him now for about three years of His ministry. We have read about His teachings and His miraculous works of signs and wonders, all of which prove His deity and power. Last week we dealt with Jesus's words of warning to His disciples; that because the world hated Jesus, it would also hate them and all those who would believe in Jesus in the future, since they would carry Christ's message to the world. When we think about this, we find that, as Christians, we live in two very different worlds. As children of God, we are citizens of God's Kingdom, and we are blessed with God's infinite love. We are recipients of all His divine promises. At the same time, we live in a world that hates us, a world that is dominated by Satan, a world that hates God and His Christ, but we are not part of this world, yet God has given us a purpose while we live here. We move now to the profound promises and work of God in the lives of His apostles, and our lives as well, through His Holy Spirit.
