- Put on the full armor to stand against evil

- Standing in the Lord is victory over evil [6:13]

1. We all have the same Master

2. Obey and serve others "as to the Lord"

3. Obey and serve others "from the Heart"

From the heart means...

-We treat others with respect and honor (6:5)

- We are genuine (6:5)

- We have integrity (6:6)

- We are eager to help (6:7)

- We trust in the Lord’s rewards (6:8)

- We don’t threaten (6:9) (instead 4:2-3: humble, gentle, patient, loving, etc.)

Ephesians 6:1–4 (MSG): Children, do what your parents tell you. This is only right. “Honor your father and mother” is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it, namely, “so you will live well and have a long life.”

Fathers, don’t exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.
