Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
“Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!” he said.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
What does that Tennyson bloke know about it anyway? He wouldn't know a pinched harmonic from a pinched nerve and I bet he's never had to synch up multiple ADATs to try to record a debut album now has he? IMPOSTER! But charge of the LOVE brigade? Now we're talking! It's none more Queen. It's none more Freddie. It's none more John, Bri, or Deacy. But is it a champon????
If Randy were to title this episode, he’d probably call it "There's music and love everywhere" or possibly "It's a super fun Freddie tune"
Today's episode looks at one of the greatest musical achievements in the history of rock. It's the gigantic, the self-impressed, the bombastic, fantastic, Michael J Smithstic, "Millionaire Waltz" from A Day at the Races.
NOTE: Skip forward to 31:32 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.
The music at the end of the episode is "One Man Dynamo", by the Randy Woods Band (featuring Captain Spreadsheet on interjections...) You can go find that here: https://youtu.be/OcPfTUAnyJA. It's none more Randy!

Today we suspend normal operations to talk about one of the most important men in the history of heavy metal: the Prince of Darkness, the Madman, Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy had a profound impact on so many people both on and off the stage. Through his highs and lows, and there were so many of both, he always maintained an integrity and humility that made a mockery of the satanic brush critics tried to paint him with.
We spin up a combined Ozzy/Black Sabbath wheel not once, but twice, to talk about our love for this guy and the genre that he had a vital part in creating.

We talk about punta. We talk about soca. We talk about calypso. We talk about merengue. We talk about salsa. We talk about ska. We talk about rocksteady. We talk about dubstep. We talk about dancehall. We talk about Oral. We talk about Belize country songs. Oh and I think we remembered to talk about Queen...
If little Eric were to title this episode, he’d probably call it "Tear It Up" or possibly, "and tape it back together again so you don't get in trouble with your mum"!
Today's episode looks at Brian's attempt to drag Queen back onto the classic classic rock station! It's time to "Tear It Up"!
NOTE: Skip forward to 30:25 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.
The music at the end of the episode is "Kind Of Love", by the Cardinal's fantastic band Absofunkinlutely. You can go find that here: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=AY7s1tQxREk

Well, well, well. It's been over a year since we last visited the game! In June last year we were putting out the fire, but this week we're dealing with a frosty feline! It's a longer episode and for some reason we were very giggly and very silly when we recorded on Tuesday! Must be something in the water! But, we have the usual array of comments, minifestaytions, and shenanigans for you to listen to - and we always truly appreciate you listening!
If Randy were to title this episode, he’d probably call it "Just cruising" or possibly, "Here's a song!"
Today's episode looks at the madcap bluster of the overblown opener from the preposterous Jazz; "Mustapha!"
NOTE: Skip forward to 30:58 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.
The music at the end of the episode is "Scared Outta My Mind", by the brilliant Ivan Anderson, in his guise as "Cyberattack". As we were talking about St. Vincent and her innovative guitar player, I wanted to give you a listen to an artist who is similarly pushing boundaries and taking the instrument into new and interesting areas. You can listen to it here:

How in the name of fuck is The Cardinal supposed to enjoy his onion rings with all this bro country dogshit that seems to be going on in his favourite restaurant? Why in the name Mary fucking Magdalene and sunny Jesus is Def Leppard playing Cuntry Thunder in Saskatchewan this year? And will somebody, for the love of all that is decent and good get that plook on Ruddy's arse sorted out! Apparently it's thinking of starting its own podcast!!!!
If Kev were to title this episode, he'd probably call it "Crows in the Wheatfield", or possibly, "Emus in the eggplant lot!"
The fifteenth installment in this podcast-within-a-podcast covers a song submitted by the wonderful David A Wilson, who sent us a Del Amitri song that Kev isn't really familiar with (calls himself a fan?) and that Randy has never heard. It's a cut from their debut album titled "Crows in the Wheatfield".
The song at the end of the show is a stunning live rendition of Justin Currie's beautiful breakup song, "If I Ever Loved You". You can watch the performance move Chris Difford to tears here: https://youtu.be/Y9xS1WkJdKk (Dedicated to a friend who is going through some stuff right now)

Well, we finished our first album and it's....... well look, it's not the jewel in the regal crown now is it! But is it as bad as all that? There surely has to be some gold buried in all that thar pyrite... right? To find out, we threw it out to you, our lovely listeners to rank these songs and help us definitively decide which song would sit atop the leaderboard for Queen's 1989 release. We were joined by the fantastic Michael J Smith and Ian Winick; hosts of the equally fantastic Lord of Adders Black podcast. We went big and live on Youtube over three continents and were ably assisted by our good pal Corey Morrissette, who turned the knobs and pressed the buttons and made the whole live stream experience completely seamless!
Enjoy!
If Randy were to title this episode, he’d probably call it "didn't we already rank these?" or possibly "why are we ranking these again"

Hey!
It's a good closing line. Maybe could have closed the album with it instead of more of that jazz..... Look, it's bananas. It's kooky. It's wild and woolly. It's Persian. It's Arabic. It's mainly absolute bollocks. But it's Queen. One might almost say it's none more Queen! But what in the green shit will the Cardinal make of this one??? And how many cheese puns are we in for on social media after last week's lactose-infused semi-turd of a song?
If Randy were to title this episode, he’d probably call it "Kev pods like others fart!" or possibly, "Kev gives himself a segue when it's time to go to bed!"
Today's episode looks at the madcap bluster of the overblown opener from the preposterous Jazz; "Mustapha!"
NOTE: Skip forward to 22:16 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.
The music at the end of the episode is "Through the Years", the first song Kev ever took in to Randy to record! You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/Lk22VORICbU

Just as we announce an album wrap episode, this happens!!! It's another song from Queen's gigantic 1975 album, A Night at the Opera. Randy's promised to be 10% nicer to Kev, in fact he even wrote a song about it. Let's just see if he's a man of his word or if, as we all suspect, he's a cur and a knave and will start picking on poor Kev again, accusing him of being obssessed with classic classic rock! What an ass!
If Randy were to title this episode, he’d probably call it "Stay sweet" or possibly, "I'm some kind of cheese!"
Today's episode looks at a Brian waltz-time track and it gets a little cheesy.... that's right, it's time for "Sweet Lady"!
NOTE: Skip forward to 22:16 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.
The music at the end of the episode is "Soul Sucker" from Absofunkinlutely's second album, Blues Kid City. You can listen to it here: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=dDaByP0nXWs

Well well well, we spun a big 'un Marjorie! Better get the fishin' net there and get ready for some flippin' and a floppin'! We’s eatin whale tonight! It’s been a fucking long week, lay off me. One more day of meetings and then I can get back to the business of casting pods! For now though, sit back, pour yourself a sherry, slip in your monocle, and give Jeeves the night off, because we’re talkin’ Queen!
If Kev were to title this episode, he’d probably call it “Are you happy, are you satisfied?” or possibly “If not, this is genuinely the best we can do”.
The song at the end of the show is the brilliant "Falling Out of Love" by the Cardinal of disco, Mr. Randy -Absofunkinlutely- Woods! It's a stormer and you can find it here: https://youtu.be/04rguueI8-s

The Pope is tired. He doesn't wanna get up. He doesn't wanna pope any more! Just leave the guy.... huh? Ohhhhhh! He snuffed it? Oh well, Popes are like buses, you wait for one for ages then two come along. Or something like that... Look, I don't know what you want from me. My phone just told me it's my bedtime, I'm rushing to get this week's episode out and the mice in the wheel in my brain seem to be on meth. Let's just leave it here shall we?
If Kev were to title this episode, he'd probably call it "Joining a Fan Club", or possibly, "I wouldn't want to be a part of any club who would have me as a member!"
The fourteenth installment in this podcast-within-a-podcast covers a song submitted by one of our pals from down under, Jas (QUEENROCKS) and is the second song from the album "Spilt Milk" by the band "Jellyfish" who neither Randy nor Kev had heard before. This one's "Joining a Fan Club".
The song at the end of the show is the brilliant "God Save the Queen, Pt. 3. And I've included it before, but it was the only thing I could think of that would be appropriate after this episode! Go find it here: https://youtu.be/XOFlPiqzxyI
