Before podcasts, the Internet and conventional understanding of speech pathology, it was a very different experience for young people who stuttered. A family friend who has watched Jared on his journey also grew up with a stutter. It was a completely different era, though, and Kevin faced bullying, misunderstanding and a dearth of resources compared to what is available today.
