ARCH!The fixes for Meltdown and Spectre are drastically slowing the kernel down. The patches are meant to be deployed in the 4.20 release, but according to Linus the patches might not be completely enabled by default. But hey, it’s the 4.20 release so, let’s chill.Ubuntu 18.04 is going to get 10 year support, and why not since RHEL already have it - or is it IBM/Red Hat now?
