John is the owner of Bub 'n Mutha's, a Veteran owned gourmet dry rub company with a Maine attitude and a mission.  He was born here in Winter Harbor, but got to live in North Carolina for five years where he learned BBQ and rub blending.  It was upon my return that he made the decision to start Bub 'n Mutha's here in Winter Harbor.

 

Their goal is to create a blend that could be used on anything that used to have fur fins or feathers.  Their fans though, have used the rubs on everything from avocado toast to fried zucchini and restaurants are using both flavors for cocktails.
