In this episode of the "Beacons of the Gospel," podcast, we will be examining what it means to act in, speak in, or in any other way, represent “The Name of the Lord.” We will be showing that this is a very serious thing to do, and that it, likewise, has very serious consequences if done in error. We will then apply this responsibility to “The Great Commission,” because Jesus commands us to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” So, it must be understood that, in that passage, “in the name of” means “baptizing” people consistently with all that is in accord with the will and the word of “The Trinitarian Godhead” We will also be looking at the "Calling on the Name of the Lord" and "The Sinners Prayer" responses to "The Gospel," which are falsely being taught in so many modern-day churches.
