Green Adam Settle was born in Jackson County, Kentucky, in 1859.
Among other things, Settle was a member of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders. After the Spanish-American War he settled in London, Laurel County, Kentucky.
This episode tells of some of his experiences as a teacher before joining the Army, as a soldier while serving in the U. S. Army during the Indian Wars and the Spanish-American War, and his civilian life after his service in the military.
