Operation Be: The Podcast

Season 2 Episode 3: Pressure

Listen Later

Welcome back to a new episode of Operation Be: The Podcast.

In this episode, I share about the pressure cooker that is life. Trust me, there is no one better at a drill sergeant persona than yours truly, but to be honest it’s exhausting.

I learned at a young age to push through all of the red flags my body was waving at me, all in the name of perseverance…but hear me when I say that I completely trashed my health in the process. I chose to prepare for events and even interactions with others so far in advance, that the intense pressure would send my body into full-blown panic.

I know now that I can honor the parts of me that are the productive, in-charge, CEO-minded person, and allow space to manage my emotions so that I don’t lose control of my body again. I refuse to continue to add unnecessary pressure to my life, and I have decided not to compromise on that again.

I look forward to sharing this show with you, and I hope it helps you to grasp onto the things that really matter in the day-to-day, and let go of the things that don’t. Enjoy the show!
