Have you ever wondered how a conservation initiative goes from thought to paper to action? The balance between making our lives easier, the expansion of industry, and the continued protection of nature is something that proves to be a delicate balancing act. When all sides come together to work towards a common goal great things can happen.

Ethan Askey is based in Calgary and works as a Transportation Association of Canada volunteer and Manager responsible for the environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability performance of Calgary’s transportation department. He will be talking about some of the conservation projects he has been involved in, including the protection of the Tatshenshini-Alsek river.
