Charlie argues that traditional rote work done by human beings will recede even further in 2020 as the relentless march of artificial intelligence displaces more and more routine, mundane jobs. Call center workers, he says, are particularly vulnerable.

The good news for entrepreneurs? Machines don’t need sick leave, or health insurance, or 401k retirement accounts. They don’t even need their mandatory 30-minute breaks. Going away on a vacation? Don’t worry about the 30,000 e-mails and instant messages waiting for you when you get back … they make bots that can handle those in this day and age.
