I believe the hardest part of self care is getting started, because, as mothers, we find it hard to give ourselves permission to move ourselves up on the priority list. I was curious about why mothers tend to put themselves last or not make time for themselves, so I did a bit of research.

I was sad to find that there wasn't much support for us mothers, or encouragement to take care of ourselves or to want things for ourselves once we venture into our motherhood journey. My research proved that we, as mothers, have to surround ourselves with likeminded people who see our value and understand our need to pour into ourselves.

I don't believe society will be changing it's tune or the way it sees motherhood anytime soon, so here are 5 things you can start doing today to take some time back for yourself.
