Today we celebrate the feast day of St. Pio or Pietrelcina, also known as St. Padre Pio. St. Pio is an ordered priest. Throughout his life, he had a profound devotion to Jesus, especially to Jesus on the cross. In his life, Padre Pio also suffered from what is known as stigmata; which are bodily wounds, scars and pain which appear in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ.
