Motherhood is really something we can get lost in. So we have to decide to find ourselves where we are. Sometimes. We'll wait. We'll wait until we lose weight. We'll wait until we stop nursing. We’ll wait until we feel like our old selves. We wait until our child is less dependent on us. We come up with excuses or reasons why we can't reconnect with ourselves, especially as new mothers. I challenge you to find yourself where you are.

Here are a few self care activities to help you find yourself where you are

  • Yoga - yoga has great physical wellness benefits like improving your strength, balance and flexibility - it also has great emotional wellness benefits because it relaxes you and helps you sleep better
  • Deep breathing - deep breathing, relieves pain and stimulates the lymphatic system which detoxifies the body
  • Meditation - meditation increases your self awareness and reduces negative emotions
  • Time in Nature - time in nature can reduce your irritability and promote happiness by increasing dopamine production
  • Intentional Silence - improves your awareness, boosts your intuition and taps into your creativity
  • Visualization - helps you adopt healthier behaviors and it helps you reach your goals.
