We really had a good time talking with Chas about how he went from singing “specials”in church, to Karaoke, to being a national touring artist!
He told us about being in the “people” business and all about his upcoming singles including“Slam Bam” which you can hear on this episode!
Chas Collins is a Southern-born singer-songwriter who has carved out a name in themodern country scene through powerful vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and astrong, authentic stage presence. Standing at 6'6", he has played over 3,000 live shows across 43 states, earning fans one show at a time with a sound rooted in both his gospel upbringing and honky tonk grit. His breakout single “That’s What She Said” and the Top 10 CMT hit “Try It On” propelled him into the national spotlight, where he’s remained a dynamic and in-demand liveperformer.
After Hurricane Katrina destroyed everything he owned, Collins moved from Louisianato Nashville, later enduring the heartbreaking loss of his mother, grandmother, and aunt. Rather than retreat, he poured grief into music, writing songs shaped by resilience, faith, and raw life experience. When COVID-19 halted touring, he doubled down on songwriting, emerging with a refined sound that blends rock edge with country soul.
Today, Chas is releasing some of the most personal and powerful material of hiscareer—songs that speak to anyone who's weathered storms and come out stronger.
