Imagine for a moment that you are back in high school. How do you feel about that? The answer depends, to a large degree, on how popular you were during that time. As a part of this reverie, imagine that your life to this point has included frequent moves from town to town, and as a result, you’ve never been anywhere long enough to make many friends let alone be “popular” because you were always the new kid in class. Your family finally settles down, and you start to find your niche; you get elected vice-president of student council. If this isn’t popularity, it’s the closest thing you’ve ever experienced! Now imagine that your best friend, who many consider a social pariah, has been challenged to a fight with another classmate in front of the entire school, and during the battle, another student joins the fray, and your friend is now outnumbered 2 to 1. Do you risk your new-found popularity by defending your friend. Join Kevin as he explains how this very challenge taught him to stand up for what he believed in and do the right thing.
