I wanted to make a monthly selection since a long time to share my music discoveries on a regular basis and answer the requests I had about more uptempo beats and house mixes. So here it is, you will find some new and unreleased sounds with influences from all over the world : afro, brazilian, latin, arabic, asian, from nu disco to deep vibes passing by house beats. Downtempo edit from a track of the “ethiopian James Brown” Alèmayèhu Eshèté from the album “Éthiopiques Volume 9 : Alèmayèhu Eshèté” (2001). Originally at much upper BPM (167), I wanted to be able to mix this great ethiopian groove track in one of my downtempo set. I kept the original athmosphere after wrapping it, I add some bass and hi frequencies support, enlarged the stereo reach and mastered the whole mix to obtain a nice level at the end. I hope you'll enjoy it !
