Second Baptist Church

Everyday we see people living in between life and death; heaven and hell; earth and eternity. So today we open to the book of Numbers and see how important and vital it is to obey and completely put our trust in God as we are living life In Between.

Numbers 21

Life is  not going to be easy, it will beat us down. But there is not a promise from God that he will not fulfill. You can trust His goodness and always take him at His Word.

Today in the book of Numbers we look at the role of the priests and the Levites and we see the reminder God gives his people of their responsibility to their leaders, and how this relates to us as Christians living in the world today.

In this sermon Pastor Jim takes us through Numbers 16-17 and we look at how in our lives we need to not live in rebellion of those who have been put in authority over us but rather to respect them regardless of our personal feelings towards them. When we reject Gods leadership, we are rejecting the Lord himself.

In this sermon we look at the Israelites in Numbers 15 and the remedial course from God, and how He is reminding His people of the importance of following The Law, obeying His commandments and stepping out in Faith.

The reality very often in our lives is that we are living our lives between Faith and Fear. We are either: Trusting God, stepping out in faith; or we are doubting God and shrinking back in fear.

In this sermon, we look at the Israelite's and their miraculous delivery out of Egypt, out of the wilderness, and the fulfillment of God’s provision for the promise land.

Today, we are a people who are also on a journey. We have been delivered from the bondage of sin, and now we are on a journey to receive the promise that God has for us. We are living in between salvation from our sins and now on our journey towards heaven. "In Between Worldliness and Godliness".

Numbers 12

Today we talk about the leaders that God appoints and how we are to respond to and follow The Lord. And then how we can then in turn be better leaders.

Today we look at The Book Of Numbers and specifically how the people of God are learning to follow God, now through the wilderness and how this applies to us.

Today Pastor Jim starts his new series looking at the Book of Numbers: Life In Between.
