Second City Podcast

Y'ulright bab?! Callum and Dan return to react to Villa's late masterclass against Crystal Palace and Blues' late disasterclass against Watford. As well as previewing the upcoming fixtures (including Villa's trip to Poland), Callum rants about a new money making scheme at Villa Park, and Dan reacts to the recent rumours of one Wayne Rooney potentially making his way to St. Andrew's.

In the first of a new series on the Second City Podcast, Callum and Dan take a look back on a former player or manager who has represented both B6 and B9, beginning this week with former manager Alex McLeish, who shocked West Midlands football when he controversially switched from Blues to Villa in 2011.

It's a hat-trick as the Second City Podcast returns for Week 3. Callum looks back on Aston Villa's triumphant return to the European scene (Edinburgh) and an away day at Burnley, whilst Dan delves in to Blues' Championship game against Plymouth and League Cup (we don't care if it's called the Carabao Cup now!) game against Cardiff.

With deadline day also looming, the guys discuss any potential late incomings and outgoings from both sides of the Second City.

The vibes are positive on both sides of the Second City, as Dan revels in Blues' continued strong start to the 23/24 season, and Callum breaks down Villa's return to form with a healthy win over Everton.

They also look ahead to both sides upcoming fixtures, including Aston Villa's return to Europe, and take a look at a remarkable weekend for the Bellingham brothers.
