Christmas is just a few days away and as such we're reviewing yet another Christmas movie! Featuring Tim Allen on the show for the second time this season, we take a look at what is arguably his most well-known movie aside from Toy Story, The Santa Clause.

The boys take on one of the most profitable Christmas movie's ever made in this episode of Second Take Cinema, turning back the clock to review the fondly remembered Home Alone. How much do you remember of this film? Do you, like Jamie, often mix this one up with Home Alone 2?

Things get explosive on the show when Jamie introduces Rory to one of his favourite movies; Serendipity, and it isn't received nearly as warmly as Jamie hoped. The festive period is here and with it comes a Christmas tradition loved by some and loathed by others; Christmas movies! It's a candy-coated delight that somehow works as both a horror movie spoof, a teen comedy send up and a psychedelic sci-fi adventure. It's weird and it certainly won't be for everyone...

Jamie and Rory take a look at the ill-fated American live-action adaptation of the landmark Japanese anime, Ghost In The Shell. Released in 2017 the movie courted controversy right from its announcement. Now that a few years have passed, how does the movie hold up?

It's an unusual episode today as we take a break from looking at cinematic masterpieces to indulge Jamie's fanboy obsession and celebrate the 60th birthday of iconic British Sci-Fi series Doctor Who. And what better way to celebrate the shows impending 60th anniversary specials than by looking back at their last big milestone? Today we're looking at the 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who; 2013 multi-Doctor episode "The Day Of The Doctor."

Today the boys tackle a film from one of Jamie's favourite filmmakers; Sam Raimi. Travel back to the early 00s with us and take a look at a pre-MCU Spider-Man, a massive blockbuster success at the time and one of the movies that jumpstarted the comic book craze we still live through. Does the movie still hold up in a post-MCU world? Does it feel antiquated or has its charm aged well like a fine wine?
