God & partnership, pt. 8 from Revelation 1:6, is another illustration of partnership. God works out of partnership. Jesus washed us from our sins with his blood and made us kings and priests before his Father. We have been invested with authority and power. The problem is that most believers don't know their covenant rights.

Partnership is a principle deeply rooted in creation. In John 15:13-15 we see another illustration of partnership. Jesus called his disciples friends. Jesus said, there is no greater love that a man can have then to lay his life down for a friend. The entire chapter of John 15, is a prophetic picture of partnership.

In John 16, Jesus is coming to the end of his ministry. This period of his life was characterized by the most intense pressure. His disciples were about to abandon him. Yet, during this time, he knew the Father was with him. And he could say, 'I am not alone, because the Father with is with me.' Like Jesus, no matter the pressure, God is with you. He will not leave you alone. Hebrew 13:5-6 says, "... I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

God created the concept of partnership. God works out of partnership.

Genesis 1:26, God work out of community. God works through partnership. God said, Let us make man in our image after likeness and let them have dominion. Genesis 2:19, God illustrates partnership with man by forming the animals from the ground and he brings them to Adam to be given names. God says it is not good that man should be alone, I will make him a helpmeet. We see partnership modelled for in 1 Corinthians 3:9, "For we are labourerss together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." The declares, 'one sow and another waters but God gives the increase.' Partnership is a fundmental principle deeply ingrained in the fabric of creation. In Revelation 22, again we see partnership in verse 1, when the bible says speaks of the Throne of God and the Lamb.

Partnership is a fundamental theme of the creation story. God has not abandoned his creation. He has been introducing it throughout human history. Genesis 1:26: "God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion...' God's first gift to Adam and Eve was dominion. God gave Adam dominion over everything. Hebrews 2:8 says God put all things under his feet, and nothing is outside his control. Another gift was partnership. We know that man's dominion over creation was slowly lost over time through deception and corruption. But God never changed his heart about man having dominion over creation. One example is when God commanded Moses to divide the Red Sea. Moses expected God to do it (Exodus 14:15-16), but God worked with Moses in Exodus 2:21 and again in verses 26-31. God told Moses to do it.

God created all things. God created partnership. God works out of partnership. Genesis 1:26: "Let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion..." God forms the animals from the dust of the ground and brings them to Adam to name them. God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helpmeet', a partner. John 1:3: 'There was nothing made that did not make.' Rev 4:20: 'All things were made by him; they exist, and were made for his pleasure. The creation was established on the principles of partnership.

John 1:1-3: 'There is nothing made that he did not make.' God made everything that was made. God created everything that was made. God established the principles of partnership at the beginning. He worked out of partnership when he said in Genesis 1:26, "Let us make man..."

Again, he worked out partnership with Adam when he brought the animals to Adam to name them. Finally, God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone...' God took a bone from Adam and made him a helpmate.

The Image of God part 12, God is love. The love of God is plainly seen in the crucifixition. God so loved the world that he gave us all in the cross. The cross of Christ is a the greatest love story of all times.

We have been looking at the Image of God as revealed in Scripture. Genesis 1:26 says we were made in His image, after His likeness. The Apostle Paul says we are to be rooted in the love of Christ, so we might be filled with all the fullness of God according to the power at work in us.
