Cs: Během zimních měsíců se univerzitní kampus změnil v bílé království.
En: During the winter months, the university campus turned into a white kingdom.

Cs: Ve vzduchu byl cítit mrazivý vzduch a stromy na kampusu byly pokryté sněhem.
En: The frigid air was noticeable, and the trees on campus were covered with snow.

Cs: Dormitory, kde bydlel Jiří, byl útulný, i když poněkud nevýrazný.
En: The dormitory where Jiří lived was cozy, though somewhat plain.

Cs: Měl jen jednoduché vybavení – postel, psací stůl a skříň.
En: It had only simple furnishings – a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe.

Cs: Jeho spolubydlící Klára byla zrovna v rohu pokoje, balila dárkový papír na knihy pro její mladší sestru.
