Ned Farmer is the Global Head of Intelligence & Security Programs at Transocean.  He oversees all aspects of security for Transocean, a world leader in ultra-deep water and harsh environment offshore drilling. Reporting directly to senior leadership, Ned is tasked with building out a comprehensive, security program, proactively mitigating geopolitical and security risks to operations worldwide. He offers some insight and suggestions for effectively communicating the value of the security function to senior leadership.

Khushal Safi is the Director of Global Safety at Northeastern University in Boston. His office supports a variety of travelers from students studying abroad to faculty members conducting research around the world. Safi talks to us about the way his team approaches global safety and security and travel risk management and how a security department can be an enabler and facilitator for the organization instead of a “stop sign”.
