Elizabeth Young is FBI agent Collin MacBride's prime suspect in the murder of a prominent Manhattan psychiatrist - the one and only lead in an ongoing investigation. Elizabeth had motive - her affair with the doctor hadnt ended well. She had means - the exquisite antique dagger shed given him as a gift was buried to the hilt in his chest. She had opportunity - dinner with Elizabeth had been penciled in on the doctors calendar for the night he was murdered. Yet Mac cant bring himself to believe she did it. But is he thinking like an investigator or like the man who wants Elizabeth all to himself?
Elizabeth is terrified that Collin MacBride will learn her secret. Somehow she must convince him that shes innocent without allowing the determined agent to discover the truth. If she can just find the very intimate and very erotic video her former psychiatrist had blackmailed her with, just maybe she can escape a murder charge. But when female patients of the late doctor start being murdered one by one, Elizabeth understands that she is on that same murder list and MacBride is the only man who can save her.

Marti' s review
This book had suspense, mystery and murder. Who done it? A prominent psychiatrist is murdered and the most of suspects is a mile long. The good doctor was into blackmail and seducing his patients. The heroine Elizabeth has some trust issues and is scared about being a suspect in the murder. Mac the FBI agent in the case knows Elizabeth is lying to him, but at the same time cannot deny his attraction to Elizabeth. The book moves fast and keeps you engaged. Overall I recommend it.
Murder and romance and the law.
Debra Webb writes romance and suspense and police and FBI like nobody's business. I am a fan of Ms. Webb. For fast, grab-at-me action and some sizzling sex that does not waylay the plot, this book does it all. Believable characters and creatively evil villains that get their "due" secures a four-star rating from me.
Better than expected
I went into this book having just read another of this author's works that I did not care for much. So I was pleasantly surprised to like this one as much as I did. The male lead character was much easier to like, and although the female lead did have some issues, they weren't enough to ruin the book for me. The sexual tension between these 2 was fairly intense, so I also enjoyed the romance aspect of the book. The plot had me glued to the story until the very end, then the big reveal about the killer just got stupid, which is why I took off a star. I also felt the story line explaining how the FBI got involved in this case was sort of lame, and it wasn't really explored much. But overall, I'd recommend the book. But be warned: it isn't as long as it appears to be. I finished the book when it still said I had 20% and over 1 hour left. That would be because the rest of it is the first few chapters of another of the author's books, "Bone Deep", which I do not recommend.
a captivating read!
Quick paced with real life type characterization a.
A who dunnit mystery with unexpected outcome! Keeps you coming back .
Just don't see it
I don't see how this e-book got rated so good. By chapter 4 you already new a certain person was the killer. The hero falls for the heroin from looking at a tape where she's doing it with another guy.
