The SYNWiS gals celebrate Halloween with an episode of the flash in the pan scifi series Defying Gravity (2009). Perhaps surprisingly, we end up learning more about Sarah’s hatred for musicals than we do anything else.

The SYNWiS gals tackle the subject of aging when they talk about Jules (2023). Turns out, it still seems pretty intimidating to get old, even if you do have an alien pal who likes to hang around with dead cats.

Join the gals while they talk about yet another Australian children’s television classic, Thunderstone (1999-2000). Sit back and listen to some discussion of what the future holds and, especially, the very grey food we can look forward to eating.

Sometimes, you can’t go back to your childhood memories. Sarah learns this the hard way this week when the gals chat about Max Headroom (1987-1988). Inspired by the much better TV appearances of said Headroom, the show leaves rather a lot to be desired.

The SYNWiS gals dive into a cult classic that seems to be about time travel…they think. Listen as Sarah and Amy talk about “boy films” and whether or not Donnie Darko (2001) counts as one.

This week, we enter the electric world of US Civil War 2 in the year 2017. In this world of chaos, there’s only one person that everyone knows and it’s Steel Harbor’s own Barb Wire (1996). Definitely not a great movie, but one of the better opportunities to gawk at Pam Anderson.
