Seeing Religion(s) In 3D – Part Last: The Language of Lovers
Hey folks-big pieces first.
This is an in-person gathering. We will be at the Bourkevale Community Centre, 100 Ferry Road, getting underway at 10:45 a.m. I can think of lots of reasons it would be worth showing up, but top of mind might be the fact that this will be our last in-person event until August. There will be three gatherings in July, but for various reasons they will all be online.
Second big piece – Kids Table is on! Amy has something planned, so bring the Little’s. That means that no matter what the Talky Bit person is on about, there will be happy sounds coming from the room next door.
Third big piece-this is “Part Last” of our series on “Seeing Religions in 3D”, in which we will continue to dig a bit more directly into the Christian tradition in general, into the ways in which it is built on the language of lovers, and how that can help us make sense of what some think are exclusivist texts (if we would find it helpful to do so).
A couple of additional details:
-We will livestream this gathering as usual; you can find us online here.
-There will not be “And Lunch After”.
-There will not be a gathering the following Sunday (July 3rd) because it’s the long weekend, and it has been our practice to encourage one another to get outside and enjoy a bit of our brief summer if you are able. Take a picture of what you are up to on that weekend and post it on our Facebook page or something like that. :). There are many ways to share the treasure of time with one another.
I think that’s it for now. I’m looking forward to seeing some of you “for reals” on Sunday!
