This the 9th chapter of the book My Journey transforming dreams into actions written by APJ ABDUL KALAM. In this chapter Kalam shared his horrible experience of trap in fire when he was working in Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station ( TERLS) with his colleague Sudhakar . They were working in a Apte launch schedule and were filling sodium and thermite mix . A drop of sweat from Sudhakar's forehead fell into it and a powerful explosion shook the room and they both fell . How Sudhakar rescue him from this trap is really appreciable. Please watch ....
And second experience was the Arakkonam crash of 1999 in which 8 board men were died. This was the heart ridden incident .
The two main message of this chapter is , " Don't pretend to be a candle , be a moth. know the power hidden in serving. We seem to have got stuck with external forms of politics and mistaking them to be nation building. It is sacrifices ,toil and valour that are seldom seen that truly make a nation.
And another one is," Joy is fleeting, whereas true happiness and calm can come to us only after intense pain, when we have confronted ourselves in the mirror of our souls and understood the self.
Stay tuned with me for the new and fresh episodes...........
