God is a covenant making God who walks with us people and desires a personal relationship with us. The end of Moses' life is beautiful proof of a life lived with God.

In the middle chapters of Deuteronomy we continue hearing God's command to be careful, to celebrate and rejoice, and to care for our neighbors in community. It ends with a beautiful picture of God walking amongst the people, which is exactly how the Bir begins and ends.

We have a covenant-keeping, loving, mighty God who loves us, chooses us, and asks that we love him back.

There is nothing easy or light about today's text! But it is real and powerful and full of truth. God is pure. God is holy. God is just.

The Bible is raw and real and doesn't sugarcoat a thing! Join me in some tough chapters!

God knows our names, every gift matters, he protects women, and leads us in obedience training!

God is an atoning God who claims us as his own, sets us free, communicates with us, and never breaks his covenant!

Leviticus 1-15 teaches us beautifully about the holiness, communicativeness, and love of God. Also, his brilliant intelligence! And of course, the whole thing points us to Jesus, the only sacrifice that can truly take away our sin.

Exodus 32-40 teaches about God's glory, forgiveness, willingness to act according to our prayers, beauty, love, justice, and his desire to meet with us.

Day 7! Exodus 21-31 teaches us about God's holiness, relationality, and his tremendous care for the less-powerful in the world.
