Why doesn't everyone believe that Jesus is the Savior? We find the answer to this question in John 12:37-50.

Growing up Catholic, I had to memorize and recite the Apostles Creed regularly. There's the "Good Friday" part that says, "He was tried under Pontius Pilot, suffered, died and was buried. Sounds rather simple, right? But it's not. Here's an in-depth look at Jesus' suffering on the cross when he bore all of our sins, past, present and future, once and for all so that we could have true salvation and a 1-way, non-stop ticket to heaven.

Today, the coronavirus pandemic crisis has taken over the news and social media. This morning on Twitter, #LoveThyNeighbor was trending. That's part of the "Great Commandment" that Jesus gave us. 

In Matthew 22:36, Jesus was asked, "Which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?" Jesus responded, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

How did Jesus get 2 commandments out of the original 10?

There were several women who were featured prominently in the Gospels. Who were they? Why were they important to the Gospel writers?

Today we look at more Old Testament prophecies that tell of Jesus' crucifixion, death and burial. From Moses, to prophets, to psalms, Jesus is predicted all through the Old Testament. 

He was the Passover Lamb. Read Exodus 12 - the story of the first Passover. 

Why don't today's Jews accept Jesus as their Messiah when it's so clearly explained in the Old Testament?

Isaiah 53 was written 700 years before Jesus' crucifixion, yet it describes perfectly how Jesus sacrificed His life to take away our sins once and for all.

As we read through the Gospels, we enjoy reading Jesus' parables, learning about his miracles like raising Lazarus from the dead and healing many people. We sit with them during the Last Supper, but then comes Judas' betrayal, and Jesus is arrested, tried, mocked, whipped, tortured and finally crucified. His suffering was detailed in Psalm 22 written by King David centuries before Jesus was even born. 

In this episode, I break down Psalm 22 and how it can only be talking about Jesus.

Continuing our walk with Jesus through Lent, I'm going to be highlighting Jesus in the Jewish prophecies. We find Jesus in all of Scripture -- all of the Bible -- from Genesis to Revelation. Today we look at the song that Jesus and the disciples probably sang as they walked from the Passover meal to the Mount of Olives. 

In the Old Testament, He is Predicted. 

In the Gospels, He is Revealed.

In the Book of Acts, He is Preached.

In the Epistles, He is Explained.

In Revelation, He is Expected.

I've been down with a cold -- no fever -- and that silenced me for a while, but I'm back! With this whole coronavirus pandemic crisis, in this episode, we're looking at 2 Chronicles 7:13-22 as God spoke to the the people of Israel as they were returning to their homeland to rebuild the temple and the city of Jerusalem. I also quote Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:11-21 where Paul tells the people to "Come back to God!" and that's exactly what we have to do. Let's honor the Lord by humbling ourselves during this National Day of Prayer for our country.
