We inhabit a time of unprecedented anxiety, loneliness, and stress...with a seemingly infinite and almost understandable appetite for self-distraction.

In this short episode, we offer an "inverted" interpretation of Psalm 23. In this reading, we experience a reading of this song from its spiritually experiential opposite: loneliness, isolation, despair, anxiety, etc.

Then another interpretation is offered with a - hopefully - meaningful use of today's language.

This particular podcast is presented in a formational way. So we encourage you to not merely listen in but to take it as an invitation of Spirit to move inwardly towards a communion-experience of your own life.

Recently Seeking the Spirit Within hosted a ZOOM call regarding the spirituality of Julian of Norwich.

The conversation was so rich and engaging we had to explore more! So we hit RECORD and hope you enjoy our exploration!

StSW is very excited to interview the ELCA Bishop of the Nebraska Synod!

Bishop Scott Johnson practices radical authenticity, vulnerability and insights throughout this podcast. Some highlights include his introduction to Spiritual Direction and its influence on his path - as a person and as clergy.

At the tail end of the podcast, Bishop Scott references an amazing quote that we tagged on after the interview was over.

Enjoy!

More podcasts are on the way!

How do we orient ourselves when language falls short or we feel disoriented with the world around us?

How do we exercise patience when the world seems to be in disorder?

What role does Spirit play when our lives seem to be thrown into confusion?

Join us as we explore this playful and intriguing story through the unique language of SD!
