This episode is in response to questions about parental relationships, but can be applied in all relationships. I also would like to clarify "Spare the rod, spoil the child" is not actually found in scripture. It's from a poem. The exact scripture I'm referring to in this talk is: Proverbs 13:24, “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” It's just become common practice to replace the one with the other.
