    It's all about christmas ... everyday ... everywhere ...

    Ева
И на другия ден всичко бе бяло.
    И обляно от светлина.
Всичко свърши, си казах, дойде краят.
    Който страдал – страдал,
    който обичал – обичал.
    Сега всички сме на небето
    и празнуваме всеки ден Коледа;
    всеки ден се обичаме,
    ядем умерено,

    Eve
Then, the following day all was white with snow
    And flushed with light.
It’s over, I thought, this is the end,
One has suffered – suffering it was.
One has loved – love it was.
Now we are all in heaven
    Celebrating Christmas every day;
Every day we love each other,
    We eat moderately,
We cry (probably with joy) for our dearest ones.
There is no darkness, nor suffering
And all is white, flushed with light.
If it weren’t for these vague dreams –
    Passions – apples - tempter -
Even I could have found peace,
Even for me there could have been a Saviour.

  • How The Winds Are Laughing
Unfortunately this song is always up to date, because the suffering does not end!
I made it my own version ...
From "Dana Dana" (Yiddish original)published 1941 by the Songwriters Sholom Secunda, Aaron Zeitlin.
"Dona Dona, (English version)" mid-1950s English lyrics by Arthur Kevess and Teddi Schwartz (information from Wiki).
(Without the Dona, Dona chorus, but with a long improvisation on guitar)
    Lyrics "Don(n)a, Don(n)a"
On a wagon bound for market
    There's a calf with a mournful eye.
High above it there's a swallow
    Winging swiftly through the sky.
    Chorus:
    How the winds are laughing
They laugh with all their might
Laugh and laugh the whole day through
    And half the summer's night.
    "Stop complaining," said the farmer,
"Who told you a calf to be?
Why don't you have wings to fly away
Like the swallow so proud and free?"
    Chorus
Calves are easily bound and slaughtered
    Never knowing the reason why.
    But whoever treasures freedom,
Like the swallow has learned to fly.
    Chorus

  • Hallelujah - The Throaty Ukulele Cover
Well, first of all, I want to dedicate this song to my lovely wife.
We are married since thirty years next sunday, despite all the ups and downs.
And we both love the late Leonard Cohen, who published this song in 1984 on the album "Various Positions".
It's also my humble throaty and off-tune tribute to Mr. Cohen!
I have to say thanks to Richard Hefner who taught the chords on the Ukulele - and he is a much better singer than I am ...

  • Lift
Today it's not snowing on my guitar, I just lifted myself with this airy tune and, hey, it's track 300 ... nice!
